Before you look to run a successful SMS or WhatsApp campaign via Interact you will need to upload your customer contact information. This can be done from your Dashboard.
Firstly, select Contacts, then click on Lists, then Create list.
You can upload your customer details as a CSV file or you can paste a list of numbers.
We do recommend using the number format (+) then country code, so if it is a UK number it would be formatted as +447234567891 for example.
CSV Upload
When uploading via a CSV file click on Browse then select the file of data you want to import.
When you have selected your file you will see the following:

Give the list a name and then click on the Import file at the bottom right of the screen.
Once you have uploaded the group you will be taken to the mapping page.
This is where you can map your column of data to specific headers. This helps you personalise message content when creating your campaigns.
Phone Number or WhatsApp Number are essential columns. You can also add multiple columns of information mapped against a number, such as first name.
When you are happy with your column headers and the mapping you simply click on Save mapping.
Once processed you will then be taken to a screen that will give you options on how to handle duplicate data:
Select from the options above to choose your preference and click on Confirm processing.
After your list is imported, you will receive an email to confirm your upload is complete.
Paste List
To create a list from copying from a data sheet, copy and paste your phone numbers ensuring that there is one number per line.
Click on Save number as and select Phone Number or WhatsApp.
Click on Confirm processing to start the import process.
Now your list has been successfully uploaded, you will be notified via email.
