The opt-in type determines the steps taken before a contact is subscribed to your product/service.

Single opt-in is a one-step process where users sending an opt-in keyword to your number are immediately added to the target contact list and can start receiving messages.

Message: Text "SUBSCRIBE" to [Phone number].
Confirmation: "Thank you for subscribing! Get ready for exclusive offers and updates delivered to your phone."

Double opt-in is a two-step process where customers receive a confirmation request after opting in. They must reply with a keyword (e.g., "YES") to confirm. Once verified, they are added to your contact list.

Message: Text "JOIN" to opt in to [Phone number].
Confirmation: Customer replies "JOIN".
Final confirmation: "Thank you for subscribing! Reply YES to confirm."
Final response: "You're all set! Expect exclusive offers and updates soon."
