An SMS keyword is a word that customers can text to your SMS sender to interact with your business.

For example, if you want to identify customers interested in a DEMO of your product or services, you can send an SMS campaign asking them to reply with "DEMO" to your number.

How to use Opt-in keywords

  1. Create an opt-in in Contacts β†’ Opt-ins β†’ Create Opt-in.

  2. Set up opt-in keywords for a number.

  3. Use these keywords in an SMS campaign.

  4. Customer replies with the keyword will appear in the Inbox and be added to the target list.

For example:

Interested in a free demo of our product? Reply DEMO to +44745127XXXX to get started!
When a customer replies with DEMO to +44745127XXXX, the response will be visible in the Inbox and automatically added to the target list.
