How to set up your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)

To start setting up your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), within your Webex Interact account, navigate to Channel Setup > WhatsApp.

Step 1: Create WhatsApp Profile

The first screen informs you about the necessary details required to create a WhatsApp business account. These include:

- Company's legal name and address

- Display name and a short business description

- A phone number that meets specified criteria

Once confirmed, click on Login with Facebook.

Step 2: Log in With Facebook

**Note**: You will need an existing Facebook account for this step, as new accounts won't be approved during the WABA creation.

Enter your Facebook login details and proceed.

Step 3: Connecting Your Account

You will then be asked to connect your Facebook account to IMImobile (Webex Interact) - this will manage your WhatsApp Business account.

Please read through the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service and Meta Terms of Service. If you are happy to proceed, please agree and then click Get Started.

Step 4: Create a WhatsApp Business Profile

Next, you'll need to create your WhatsApp business profile with the following information:

- WhatsApp business account name

- WhatsApp business display name (this should match your business name)

- Business category

Step 5: Add a Phone Number for WhatsApp

This is the number people will see when they chat to you.

This number will also be used for the one-time passcode for verification upon setup so please ensure you can either receive calls or SMS to this number.

Step 6: Setting Up Your WhatsApp Business Account

Please wait while this process completes which may take approx. 30 seconds.

You have now successfully set up your WhatsApp Business account on Webex Interact.
