Once the template has been approved, sending a WhatsApp message via Webex Interact is very straightforward, and with this article it should help you with your campaign.

First on the left side menu, select Campaigns (With the paper airplane symbol). The page will open on the right side of the screen with a Create Campaign option.

This will give you 2 options, SMS or WhatsApp. For this example you are looking to pick WhatsApp.

The next screen is split into sections, and if you follow these headings it will help you send the message. For example, the first one is 'Title', by giving the campaign a name it will help you find the Campaign again for when you wish to review the performance.

The next section is 'From'. This will be from your WABA (WhatsApp profile) and should be pre-populated if Meta has approved your account.

The next information that you need to provide is who the message is going to. You can use a paste list if needed, but by using the List format from a contact group you have already created, it will also allow any custom fields or variables that have been uploaded into the contact group. This is an amazing way to start to really personalize the message and make sure it is feature rich. Refer to them by name, or bring up an area they are connected to, we give plenty of custom field examples as well as allowing you to create your own.

At this point we are now ready to select the template, here you have the option of a Marketing or Utility style message to pick from. You can filter the templates by name, keyword or scroll down and find the one you need. If you do not have an appropriate template you can use this screen to create a template. For this example, let's imagine we do have the template we need, and in this situation it is a Marketing message.

Select the correct template, then on the right it will show an example of what it looks like. If you are happy then select 'Use Template'.

You might have some areas of the template you need to expand on, for example, the Header. You may have selected it to have an image, so choose the file (limit is 10mg), or if you have selected Text, complete this to enrich your message.

Once you are happy select 'Review Campaign'. It will ask if this is to be sent to WhatsApp numbers or All contacts, as you may have both in the contact group, but it is best to select WhatsApp numbers as these are the users that will be able to receive the feature rich message.

After the contact group has been picked it will give you a chance to review the Campaign a final time, double check the contacts that it will be sent to, the WABA it is being sent from, and the volume of contacts it will go to. It will also show a preview of the message and an estimated cost of the campaign. If everything looks correct, you can send now or schedule the campaign for a later date/time. If anything still needs working on you also have an option to edit the campaign before it is sent.
